Welcome to my two cents in software engineering
Published on August 29, 2024
Hello there! 👋🏻
I'm thrilled to have you here at the beginning of what I hope will be a long and fruitful journey together in the world of software engineering.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is André Treib, I'm from Brazil, and I've been passionate about web development since 2006. What started as a curiosity has turned into a full-blown career, and since 2014, I've been working professionally in the field.
Over the years, I've had the pleasure of diving deep into a variety of technologies, with recent focuses on Next.js, Remix Framework, React, and Node.js.
I’m a firm believer in communication and collaboration. Organizing people, managing projects, and bringing products to life is something I genuinely enjoy. You could say I’ve got a consultant’s mindset with a big dose of ownership – I love being "the product guy" who sees things through from start to finish.
In this blog, you can expect to find posts about the various aspects of software engineering that I’ve worked with over the years. I’ll be sharing insights from my experience with:
- Building web applications using a lot of different technologies (JavaScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Remix, PHP, ASP.NET, and much more)
- Developing AI projects using LLM and RAG systems
- Architecting both monolithic functional codebases and Event-Driven Architectures (EDA) with multiple microservices
- Managing teams and building digital products
Having been on this journey for over a decade, I’ve had the opportunity to explore a wide range of tools, frameworks, and approaches. I strive to stay technology-agnostic, focusing on mastering the fundamentals – understanding semantics and recognizing good and bad patterns. My goal is to keep code simple and products flawless.
This blog is my way of sharing what I’ve learned and continuing the conversation with the amazing community of developers out there. Whether you’re here to learn, share, or just stay updated, I’m glad you’ve stopped by. Feel free to reach out – I’m always open to meeting new people and exchanging ideas!
